Beginner's Upholstery

By: Helen Kuntz

Now that spring has sprung we our rolling out our monthly classes again.

Our first class of 2023 was held here at the Corinna SDA Church on

Sunday, March 19.

Cheri Farley and Emily Ellis of Hayloft Upholstery demonstrated how to redo the padded seat on a beautiful wooden chair.

Six guests from the community joined about 15 Corinna church members and friends for the demonstration.

A young lady, Dani, from the audience was invited to put the final touches on the chair by using a hot glue gun to apply a decorative trim. Nice job, Dani!

One of our guests, Nicki, had her registration form chosen and was given a book on upholstery. Enjoy your book, Nicki!

The project was perfect for beginners. A few said they were now ready to start on projects that they had been thinking of doing, but hadn't yet started .

Thank you to Cheri and Emily for a fun and interesting class! Maybe next time we could cover an ottoman?

Our April class will be on bread making, we hope you will join us!

Check under Announcements or Classes at https://dexterme.adventistchurch.org for news on upcoming classes.

Those who turned in registration forms will also be updated by their preferred contact method.
